Thanks for the flax/wheat tortilla/chip recipe. I've been wanting to make my own tortillas for a while but hadn't found an recipes that were up to my expectations. I can't wit to try it, but I'll have to wait until I've got the time to roll them out right....because nothing is more frustrating to me that rolling out sticky items in a rush!

Keep up the good work and I'll check back eventually to view over any other recipes you've got.

Thanks again!

Hi Jeremy, I just found your blogs today and have enjoyed catching up. I, too, live in Texas (close to Waco) and I travel quite a bit around the state for work. I'm in Austin often. I'm also on a weight loss journey this year, so reading your blog is inspiring to me. wishing you success!

get back on that horse jeremy! you know what works for you & what doesn't - avoid what doesn't & jump all over what does. have you thought about joining a training group? many days when i don't feel like working out i go because i've got a group or someone else expecting me - a workout partner(s) are invaluable for helping you stay on track & motivated.

as for a charity - what got me started was the leukemia & lymphoma society. it's a great organization & helps so many people. not to mention their team-in-training program - this may be perfect for you! also high on my list are the susan komen foundation, the walter payton foundation, & the lance armstrong foundation. each of these groups help fight cancers & are also big supporters of so many race (healthy) activities!

Yeah the lay off was unintentional. I know consistency is the key, but obviously my tendency is to be lazy so it's also a bit of behavior modification also.

My goal for the next six weeks is to work out 6 days a week. Which means at the minimum stairs during the weekdays and something at night.. either walking, weights, or yoga. On the weekend it means at least walking, but better yet kayaking or hiking.

i had dinner with a good friend sunday night who is also doing ironman oceanside in san diego next month. we were talking about training & she said the one principle that all the pros swear by is consistency in your workouts. it should never be about taking time off & then "hitting it hard." if you want to succeed, stay consistent!

Of course!! Around 2:30 is when I try to get everyone going. Just enough time to let lunch digest and it gives me a boost of energy for the afternoon.

i'm going to have to get some stairs in with you guys tomorrow! rock on!
regardless of what nicole is fixing - as long as it is "real" food, it's better than any thing you'll get out of a box or from a drive thru window.
