Day 025: Exhausted…

Jan 25 2008

(I passed out last night so I am posting this on the 26th and back dating it)

I give up I am not a morning person. From now on I will get up at 7 am eat breakfast and go to work. I will also do my best to get to bed by 11pm or Midnight. I need to work on using my time better. Of course if I actually get some sleep I might be more motivated to actually do something with my free time besides crash on the couch.

Week 4: Update

Jan 25 2008

Last Week: 327.2 lbs/BF%:40.7%

This Week: 328.6 lbs/BF%: 40.5%

Total: +1.4 lbs.

Ok, so this week the scale moved in the wrong direction, but it’s not all bad news my body fat percentage went down for the first time. Yeah! I am not going to beat myself up over the weight gain. I plan on using it as a wake up call to get my head screwed back on straight. I need to stay diligent in my eating habits, I need to get more sleep, and I need to drink more water.

I think the key to it all is sleep because when you tired you don’t feel like doing much.

Day 024: Hanging in there…

Jan 24 2008

I am sticking to my improvised diet, but I need to start drinking more water. I also have fallen off the exercise wagon. So next week I need to get back on.

Unfortunately nothing exciting to report. Although I think we can safely assume I will be putting a weight on this week and not taking it off.

Day 023: Back to Normal…kinda..

Jan 23 2008

So today, for me, was about getting back to as close to normal as I could get. I had to do a little improvising since I didn’t get a chance to grocery shopping this weekend. I think I did a pretty good job and I am feeling better about things.

Nicole picked up some groceries for me today, which will make tomorrow even better.

Day 022: Goodbye Dallas…

Jan 22 2008

Today was a busy day. Ben and I started working on my very first Statement of Work… very exciting stuff. The discussion took most of the day.

Around 4:30 we finally left Dallas for Austin. I made it home aroud 8:15. It’s good to be back. Now I need to wrap my head around what it’s going to take to salvage the rest of my week. Tomorrow, after work, I need to hit the grocery store. I also need to sneak in a workout, but the workout might be carrying tubs downstairs. I know that sounds like a bit of stretch, but all I have to say is you come take a few trips… I know you’ll feel the burn. Then cook, cook, cook.

I am a little scared to get on the scale tomorrow. I know I made some poor choices these past few days and I am going to pay for them, but I hoping it’s not too detrimental to my progress.

Day 021: A little better…

Jan 21 2008

I tried to eat a bit better today. I unfortunately didn’t make it to the fitness center. My late night last night had me exhausted and I wanted to get over to see Jassen again before I left. He gave me a nice office chair that he no longer wanted. We removed the base and got it the parts in the back seat of Nicole’s car.

Tomorrow Ben and I will be working from Dallas until we head home. (Not sure what time we are leaving) I am ready to get back in to my routine.

Day 020: Late night…

Jan 20 2008

So I made it to Dallas and watched the Giants beat the Packers!!! Then afterward Jassen and I went to the bar and to celebrate. I didn’t get back to the hotel till very late… one might even call it early. So I am posting this a day late and back dating it. I admittedly went a little off the rails as far as diet goes these past few days, but I am not derailed. I will be getting back on track as soon as I get home and I will do my best to be good while I am still here. I might even hit the fitness center in the hotel.

Day 019: Got some rest…

Jan 19 2008

Today I slept in later than I have in months. It was nice to get some rest, but I feel like I wasted a good chunk of the day.

I picked up my new glasses today. My eyes are still adjusting, but I really like how they look and I can definitely see better. Good stuff!!

I ran to Whole Foods and picked up a loaf of French Meadow’s Men’s Bread. I have had a slight craving for bread and I wanted to pick up a healthy version to scratch my itch. It’s pretty darn good. I had a couple slices with a bowl of Vegetable Beef soup for lunch.

Tonight Nicole and I went to see the movie Juno. I am bit disappointed with myself. I ate a bunch of popcorn and some candy, but oh well I am not going to beat myself up over it. One stumble isn’t the end of the world… I am sure there will be a few more over the next year.

Right now I am listening to the Juno soundtrack. It’s pretty damn good.

Weight: 328.2 lbs (I forgot to mention I had pizza last night…)

Day 017: T.G.I.F….

Jan 18 2008

I am not usually excited for the weekend… no more than any other day. I enjoy my job and my coworkers, but lately I have been exhausted. We have been under some pretty tough deadlines for a while now and I think the stress is just wearing on me. So, today I am happy it’s Friday. Of course this is an odd weekend as Ben and I will be traveling to Dallas on Sunday afternoon since we have a customer meeting on Monday and Tuesday. Which means tomorrow will be spent running errands that need to be completed.

My new glasses are in. I will be picking those up tomorrow. If I get a chance I will snap a few shots to show the new glasses compared to the old. The new frames are kinda funky and I think fit my new attitude. As I start to lose weight I hope to slowly update my wardrobe from ratty programmer garb to something along the lines of nerd chic. Honestly I am not sure what that means, but I think when I find the style I am looking for it will be better than what I am doing now since I have no style at all.

Week 3: Update

Jan 18 2008

Last Week: 331.0 lbs/BF%:40.9%

This Week: 327.2 lbs/BF%: 40.7%

Total: -3.8 lbs.

Wow! I guess I had a good week!  I have no explanation as to why I lost so much weight…. my only thought is my body decided to finally let go a little.

Next week holds some challenges. I will be out of town for two and half days. I will try to knock out some body weight workouts in my hotel room if I have the opportunity and I will also do my best to make the healthiest food choices I can. I also won’t have much time to pre-make all my lunches. So wish me luck… next week is going to be tricky.
